Andy Matarrese, a reporter from The Columbian in Vancouver, Washington, penned a great piece on the grand old houses that call Clark County home including the oldest building listed with the county Assessor’s Office: the Charles Brown House at 400 W. 11th St. in Vancouver. The French Second Empire-style house was built in 1866, and currently is home to the Southwest Washington offices of Stahancyk, Kent & Hook.
