Today I met with our architect and a contractor. Our architect and I walked through the entire property and provided a detailed and accurate scale drawing of the house. He gave me a scale drawing of the outside of the house and yard, with some new parking plans.
Lifting the house and building a new foundation is possible and feasible. We are looking at about sixty days of total time to lift the house, build the forms, pour the new foundation and lower the house. We have suggested raising the level of the foundation to increase the clearance in the basement and raise the overall height of the house. We have all decided it is best to install new heating, electrical and plumbing.
